Double Black Imaging is including the X-Cal Web Calibration software suite with all DBI auto-calibrating LCDs. This proprietary package for Automatic DICOM calibration and display quality assurance allows for both complete front DICOM calibration and QA of DBI LCDs. X-Cal consists of two components, a local agent and a network administrative package that are both easily accessible via the web. Paired together with DBI displays, this software and hardware combination allow each display to be remotely calibrated to the DICOM gray scale display function and monitored from a central workstation, send notifications to the central workstation or administrator when the LCD requires service and allows the administrator to adjust and perform DICOM 3.14 Calibration on each LCD from the remote location. Other functions X-Cal offers include: automatic calibration and conformance tests, graphical results, TG-18 visual tests, built in MQSA reporting, table formatted reporting of data for future use, the ability to schedule intervals between auto-calibrations, allows for compensation of ambient light, ability to adjust luminance and other workstation settings. The user may also view and save historical data on white level, black level, calibration and conformance tests for JCAHO/medical traceability.
